Rain comes in spring
And leaves in the fall
The letter it read
"For once and for all"
But I'm looking down
From inside my room
The story I tell
Reminds me of you

Three little eggs
Baby my blue
Fallen from branches
Without a clue
I gently hold them
Warm to my chest
Lower them down
Back to the nest

Answers I seek
But silence I hear
But oh, how this music
Tickles my ear
Walk to the graveyard
When I'm feeling down
There on the footpath
The note that I found

Be still my darling
Baby my blue
Fallen from heaven
Without a clue
So gently I hold you
Warm to my chest
And lower you down
So you can rest
